MISSION STATEMENT: NOVA MIHAI POPA
In the creation of my art, Integral Art, I seek a cosmic view. I started researching and decoding some of
the ways nature does constructions. I took the elements of the wave and the sphere, present all over the
universe, and began to fuse these into one unified form, which I see as the common matrix of life,
present in the shapes of atoms, humans and stars .... I call this form 'Unus', a symbol of the unity of
everything and I use it as a major part of my artistic alphabet.
Integral Art is a visual philosophy expressing the universal aspect of life. It shows the continuity of spirit
along the ages of humanity. Throughout history, we've all had the same basic values, values that are
disappearing today. At no other time in history has humanity been so divided by the disproportion
between the natural environment and the artificial environment of technology. Technology creates a
special mental space. People tend to replace their classic human values with reflexes of a mechanical
nature. Communication is less between man and man, but more between man and machine. My art talks
of natural man as a superior, unique and irreplaceable creation of nature.
I tell the story of our evolution from caveman to spaceman, a mix of dream and science, history and
prophecy. I talk about the mysticism of Stonehenge and the electric speed of our highways. My work is
about transformation and hope. It's about a new way of living that has fed to my designs for new
cosmically structured cities.
The art you see on this website describes the basic relations between humans, between humans and the
planet between cosmos and man, and between us and our time.
